Ali Modiri, DDS
Ali Modiri, DDS, General and Cosmetic Dentistry: Dr. Modiri graduated from New York University, College of Dentistry in 2002 and completed a residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the Montrose campus of the Veterans Affairs Hospital in 2003. Dr. Modiri has been practicing general and cosmetic dentistry in Stamford Connecticut and New York since 2003.
Dr. Modiri practices all aspects of general dentistry including smile enhancement utilizing the latest technologies in ceramic dentistry, invisible braces and implant restorations. He also practices all aspects of general dentistry including endodontics (root canal therapy) and periodontics (gum treatment). Dr. Modiri’s most endearing quality is his personal attention and care for his patients. His calm demeanor puts his patients at ease, making their dental visit more enjoyable and less stressful: “I want my patients to feel like they are one of my family members.” His attention to detail and work ethic make him a valuable member of the team at Stamford Dental Arts.
Dr. Modiri regularly attends lectures and seminars in advanced technologies in restorative dentistry to keep abreast of the latest treatment options available in the industry.
When Dr. Modiri is not pursuing his passion for dentistry, he enjoys spending his time with his wife Marjan and daughters Sophie and Madelyn. He enjoys playing tennis, soccer, snowboarding and mountain biking.
Marjan Moghadam, DDS, MA
Marjan Moghadam, DDS, MA completed her dental degree at NYU in 2002. She completed a General Practice Residency program at Long Island College Hospital in 2003 and then earned her certificate in prosthodontics and masters degree in psychology from NYU as well. As a prosthodontist, Dr. Moghadam is able to manage and perform complex dental treatment involving full mouth rehabilitation with crowns, bridges, implants and/or dentures. She is also a clinical assistant professor at New York University College of Dentistry, in the department of Prosthodontics where she serves as co-director of Clinical Fixed Prosthodontics.
Paola Castellanos, DDS
Dr. Castellanos completed her baccalaureate studies in psychology at Hunter College and achieved her doctorate degree in dentistry from New York University. She then went on to pursue a General Practice Residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, where she acquired experience working with diverse patient populations as well as the management of orofacial emergencies and complex oral conditions.
Dr. Castellanos is a native from Colombia and speaks fluent Spanish and English. She also enjoys working with children as patience is one of her qualities. Dr. Castellanos is proficient in all aspects of general dentistry and strives to make patient’s experience a pleasant one by making use of gentle care: “I like to treat patients as I would like to be treated.” She is also a firm believer that education is the key to preserving oral health, as a result she emphasizes on making sure that patients understand fully the extent of their future treatment and how to maintain a beautiful smile.
Dr. Castellanos is a member of the American Dental Association, the National Hispanic Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Outside of work, Dr. Castellanos spends her time doing arts and crafts, singing at a local choir, and attending various events of the Hispanic community with her husband and relatives.
